A family guest house in the historical centre of Český Krumlov.

In the 17th century, this house was a home of the maltster Pavel Straninger. Today, we run our small modern guesthouse Alt Straninger standing on Gothic foundations and under Renaissance sgraffiti. We are proud to claim the rich history of one of the oldest buildings in Široká Street by keeping the period name and by the preserving the property’s architectural values, however, all modern conveniences are provided under the roof of this medieval building for your comfortable stay. From modern showers to free wi-fi, cable TV with Netflix to a refrigerator with a minibar. We offer our guests a relaxing or active adventure program, we are happy to give advice, help organize trips, store bicycles or luggage and valuables in the safe.
